Virginia Triplett-Goddard worked with mentor Frank Gainer, MHS, OTR/L, FAOTA, Director of Conferences at AOTA. Virginia learned the behind-the-scenes process of developing and implementing AOTA’s conferences and special events. In 2010 Virginia attended the AOTA Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando, FL; the Student Conclave in Louisville, KY; and the Autism Specialty Conference in Baltimore, MD.
The program helped Virginia understand her potential role in AOTA, and available roles in her state association. She says the program was an amazing networking opportunity, and she learned that although she may be a new practitioner, she can offer new insight and ideas in a variety of areas.
