Student Recruitment Initiatives Contest
In 2004, the AOTA Board of Directors approved a contest for occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs to solicit ideas and practices for student recruitment. Entrants could use any activities that increase awareness of occupational therapy as a viable career choice.
The winners of the Student Recruitment Initiatives Contest were:
In the OT category:
1st - University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
2nd - University of Southern California
3rd - Pacific University in Orego.
In the OTA category:
The winner is Western Wisconsin Technical College. There was only one OTA entry and it scored the highest of all the entries.
A total of 9 entries were received. All entrants have provided their permission to use their materials. Please ensure that proper recognition is given to the entrant. The entrants are listed below:
