Today is Hill Day!

AOTA is holding a virtual Capitol Hill day in conjunction with today’s annual in-person Hill Day. Help support the more than 500 occupational therapy practitioners and students who are in DC to storm the halls of Congress to make the voice of occupational therapy heard on Capitol Hill. Even if you can’t be here in person you can lend your voice in support of the profession by advocating virtually using AOTA’s Legislative Action Center.

This year’s virtual Hill Day focuses on addressing the Medicare Part B outpatient therapy caps scheduled for implementation on January 1, 2013. This arbitrary annual cap on occupational therapy services would adversely affect not only the profession of occupational therapy but also an estimated 640,000 Medicare beneficiaries annually.

For additional information on the therapy caps visit AOTA’s Legislative Action Center where, in fewer than 5 clicks of your mouse, you can send an already prepared letter to all three of your elected officials here in Washington.
