Leslie L. Jackson, MEd, OT, FAOTA, is chairperson of the AOTA Early Intervention and School Special Interest Section (EISSIS) and  has served children and their families for nearly 28 years in a variety of settings and roles. Currently, Jackson is a product manager for Easter Seals, Inc., where she coordinates the development of training resources.

Before joining Easter Seals, Jackson served as AOTA’s primary resource on pediatric services and supports and also was a congressional lobbyist on education and children’s issues. Additionally, she has authored, co-authored, and edited books, articles, chapters, and other resources on occupational therapy with children, particularly those in school and early intervention settings, and is the immediate past editor of the EISSIS Quarterly.

Jackson is a popular speaker on occupational therapy services for children, and most recently created a self-guided online series on Creating and Sustaining Inclusive Early Care and Education Environments, which is based on the Easter Seals’s TMICC project.
