AOTA’s 2008 Virtual Capitol Hill Day a Success!
AOTA held a Virtual Hill Day on May 20, 2008, to highlight issues affecting the occupational therapy profession in the pending Medicare package before Congress. AOTA members used the AOTA Legislative Action Center to contact their members of Congress in the House and Senate to urge their support in extending the therapy cap exceptions process and updating the Medicare fee schedule before the current fixes expire on June 30.
More than 2,500 emails were sent from the Legislative Action Center on Tuesday, and many AOTA members communicated through phone calls and faxes. This Hill Day was a great success and sets the stage for AOTA’s Capitol Hill Day scheduled for September 22, 2008. Read more.
