Approved Provider Program
AOTA’s Approved Provider Program (APP) is designed to promote the quality and relevance of continuing education (CE) activities offered to occupational therapy practitioners.
Since its beginning in 2001, the program has grown to more than 200 Approved Providers and is recognized by 24 state licensure boards. OT practitioners look for the APP logo as a sign of quality and relevance in meeting their professional development needs.
AOTA now offers 2 options for continuing education providers to participate in the Approved Provider Program:
- Approved Provider - Full status Approved Providers can award AOTA CEUs to their OT-relevant live or distance learning CE for the 4- or 5-year term of their approval.
- Single Course Approval - Providers who offer no more than 1 or 2 live CE events a year that are relevant to OT are eligible for APP Single Course Approval.
