AOTA Succeeds in Assuring Additional Education for Local Medicare Contractors
As a result of several member inquiries related to misinformation received from local Medicare contractors concerning the extension of the cap exceptions process, AOTA requested that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intervene to provide additional education to contractors. As a result, CMS has sent a clarifying instruction to contractors to bring their attention to the previously published information on therapy caps and exceptions. It references the prior instructions sent by CMS, including the MLN article. The article can be found here.
