OSEP Grant Awards

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the Department of Education recently announced the awards for the 84.325S grant program. Of the applications submitted and nine awards made, occupational therapy programs represented a majority of both.

Four awards were made solely for OT programs, and one award was made to a joint OT, PT, and SLP program.

This news further demonstrates the growing recognition of profession’s critical role in supporting the physical and mental health of students.

The purpose of the 84.325S program is to award grants to institutions of higher education with related services degree programs to expand or enhance curriculums, courses of study, and clinical experiences. This grant is just one of many occupational therapy programs are eligible for. To learn more, check out AOTA’s webinar featuring grant staff from OSEP.
