Finalized 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule impact on OT

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released their annual update to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) on November 1, 2024. These finalized policies will impact delivery of occupational therapy (OT) beginning January 1, 2025. While some policies will pose additional challenges for OT practitioners (OTPs) serving Medicare Part B beneficiaries, there are several important policy changes resulting from AOTA advocacy that will benefit occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) in the coming year.
