AJOT calls for papers

The American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT) periodically announces calls for papers for upcoming special issues. For all AJOT articles, the goal is to provide high-quality research for use by occupational therapy practitioners and researchers as well as consumers, insurers, and other health care professionals.

Call for authors: Health Policy Perspectives column

Do you have a perspective on occupational therapy practice in the changing health care system? What federal, state, or local policy questions are critical to occupational therapy? Do you have thoughts about the larger world of health care reform that relates to state, federal, or local policy?

The AJOT Health Policy Perspectives column provides an opportunity for expression of thoughtful opinions. The column is a forum for views; calls to action for the profession on practice, education, outreach, and research; and perspectives on how occupational therapy and health care policy intersect. Original research is not required, although preference is given to articles that reference published or ongoing research.

Interested authors should contact Julie Malloy, OTD, MOT, OTR/L, PMP, CPHQ, FNAP, column editor, at jmalloy@aota.org, with a short paragraph describing the proposed column. Manuscripts should be submitted through the AJOT manuscript processing system.
