CarFit

The CarFit initiative represents a national collaboration between AAA, AARP, and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) that has served more than 50,000 seniors since its inception in 2005, with expansion now abroad in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. American Automobile Association (AAA)

AAA is a not-for-profit organization of motor clubs serving more than 59 million members in the United States and Canada. The organization provides information regarding current vehicle safety initiatives, highway and air traffic system infrastructure, and improving highway safety.

 

AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety is a not-for-profit, publicly supported charitable research and education organization dedicated to saving lives by preventing traffic crashes and reducing injuries when crashes occur.

The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators focuses on goals and outcomes to develop initiatives and measures that enable the organization to promote safer drivers, safer vehicles, and provide support to North American Law Enforcement agencies.

Alzheimer's Community Care was founded in 1996 by a group of local residents in Florida, who were concerned about the growing number of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders. The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) and its members believe that mobility is a basic human right. Florida's Safe Mobility for Life Program

The Safe Mobility for Life Coalition’s mission is to implement a strategic plan to increase the safety, access, and mobility for aging road users and eliminate fatalities and reduce serious injuries.

 

The Hartford Center for Mature Market Excellence

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

Since its inception, NHTSA's mission has been to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce economic costs due to road traffic crashes, through education, research, safety standards, and enforcement.

 

SafetyLit™ Injury Prevention Literature Update

The mission of SafetyLit is to provide a free comprehensive, easy-to-use, searchable, Internet-based bibliographic database of scholarly journal articles, technical reports, and theses concerning all issues of safety arising from many professional disciplines and nations.

 

The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA)

NMEDA is the certifying body for the nationally recognized Quality Assurance Program (QAP) accreditation. Established in 1989, NMEDA provides education & training to our members and partners, and advocate for our industry before Congress, state legislatures and federal regulatory agencies.
