Choosing wisely in pediatric practice

Choosing Wisely® is an initiative by the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation designed to promote conversations between practitioners and patients to help patients choose care that is safe, necessary, supported by evidence, and not duplicative (ABIM Foundation, 2022). The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) joined the initiative and has developed 10 Choosing Wisely recommendations. This article focuses on recommendation 8.
