Micro-volunteer opportunities
There are a number of ways to volunteer for your professional organization. AOTA considers the positions that are non-elected, non-appointed to be micro-volunteering opportunities. These important roles are focused around time, talent, and tasks.
What defines a micro-volunteer opportunity?
Time
Micro-volunteer opportunities are time-bound and last anywhere from 1 hour to 1 year.
Talent
Micro-volunteer opportunities draw on specific skills. Perhaps you prefer to write, or maybe you'd like to go out and greet someone? There is an opportunity for your talent to shine!
Tasks
Micro-volunteer opportunities are tasks that run the gamut from pop-up ventures to regular occasions.

Roster of Approved Provider Program Reviewers (RAPR)

Where's the COOL database?
The Volunteer Center in CommunOT has replaced the COOL database. The center allows you to opt in to a volunteer pool that allows for better and easier volunteering. If you signed up for COOL, you will need to sign up again as appropriate in the Volunteer Center. Due to the...well, cool!...features in CommunOT and the need for individuals to opt-in themselves, past data was not imported to the new system.
