Boundless Potential: Using Your AOTA Membership Post-Graduation

Congratulations, graduates!You have reached a significant milestone in your life and professional journey. We are thrilled for you and join in your celebration! Your graduation sets you on a path for boundless potential in pursuing your OT and OTA certifications.  

AOTA was there for you as a student member. Now that you're entering the next phase of your OT journey, AOTA remains your steadfast professional partner. Use these 6 steps to succeed over these next few weeks and months as you transition to becoming a practitioner, and let AOTA help you realize your boundless potential today.  

Update your contact information. If your AOTA membership is tied to your academic email address, now is the time to update your contact information to your personal email address. An updated account allows you to continue receiving the information you need to help make the biggest difference in your clients’ lives. Head to My AOTA and update your contact information under "settings." 

Prepare to network. AOTA offers many resources as perks of membership through the Career Center, including résumé and interview tips, the OTJobLink, Virtual Career Fairs, and Salary & Workforce Survey results.  

Ace the exam, if you haven't already done so. Complete the final step in becoming certified with the help of AOTA's NBCOT Exam Prep for both the OTR and COTA exams. Use your student membership for 30% savings and make your study time more efficient today!  

Mark your calendars. Keep checking the AOTA Events page to save the date for upcoming events, like the next Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, September 1.
