Assembly of Student Delegates
The Assembly of Student Delegates represents and communicates the interests of students to AOTA leadership and governance bodies. The ASD provides a forum for the development of student leadership and advocacy to enhance the occupational therapy profession and promote student membership.
Student Representation
ASD provides a mechanism for the expression of student perspectives, and offers a means whereby students can have effective input into AOTA affairs.
Is your registration up to date?
Assembly of Student Delegates (ASD) Representatives and Alternates must register themselves in order to receive relevant ASD emails and newsletter, participate in the ASD CommunOT forum, and attend the ASD meetings and gatherings.
Reps must be elected or appointed by their fellow SOTA members or a faculty advisor.
Once you register, keep an eye on your email for instructions on your first steps as an ASD Rep.
ASD Steering Committee members
As a standing committee of the Board of Directors, the ASD Steering Committee (ASDSC) serves the ASD membership by synthesizing student concerns to represent the student point of view to the RA, the COP, the COE, the VLDC, and all other bodies of AOTA as needed.
ASDSC members are elected. Nominations open for available positions early each fall, and successfully elected members assume office on July 1 of the following year.
