Identifying and preventing burnout in occupational therapy practice
Many factors can negatively affect our professional lives, and one of the biggest is burnout. Occupational therapy is a rewarding career, but it is not void of stress and burnout. Recognizing signs of burnout in ourselves is necessary to help our clients live their lives to the fullest. Understanding the signs also requires occupational therapy practitioners and students to develop a plan for professional self-care.
