Educator Self-Assessment

You do not need to have an elaborate program in place before you accept your first student. Start with the basics and add as you learn from both the students and staff who participate in the fieldwork program.

The C Accreditation Standards from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy (ACOTE) govern Fieldwork Education. You can download and review the standards and interpretive guide applicable to your Fieldwork Program from the ACOTE Website. All Academic institutions need to ensure these standards are met by each Fieldwork Site.
