Reinforcing family-centered early intervention best practice throughout the pandemic

There is much to reflect on as we move toward the new normal in our post-pandemic lives. As we look at the youngest, born in that time frame, the effects of the global pandemic are emerging. Many children with developmental delays and their families had challenges in their day-to-day lives before the pandemic, but the sudden shift to this new world was nothing we could have imagined or planned. The pandemic suddenly and abruptly disrupted early intervention (EI) services for providers and families. Those underserved were impacted even more than most, as they didn’t have the resources to continue to receive the necessary services.
