Changes for Home Health Agencies in 2024

On November 13, 2023, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published its final home health prospective payment system (HH PPS) rule for calendar year (CY) 2024. The final rule takes effect on January 1, 2024, and updates Medicare payment policies and rates for home health (HH) agencies in addition to establishing new coverage and payment guidelines for lymphedema supplies. The rule included many updates; we highlight those of most interest to OT practitioners below and provide links to additional information for more details.
