AOTA members are invited to participate in the PRIME Registry, a Qualified Clinical Data Registry and reporting platform tool designed to help practitioners and clinicians track and report quality performance, as well as convey the value of outpatient occupational therapy services.

Why use PRIME?

Occupational therapy practitioners who bill outpatient Medicare Part B are included in the Quality Payment Program (QPP) under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Practitioners who are not yet required to participate can choose to opt-in early to potentially earn a positive MIPS payment adjustment. MIPS reporting categories for occupational therapy practitioners include quality measures and quality improvement activities.

What is PRIME?

PRIME’s user-friendly, browser-based quality performance dashboard provides at-a-glance viewing and tracking of quality measure performance in relation to CMS benchmarks for a per clinician annual fee. As an interface for reporting data for MIPS, PRIME includes a suite of tools for managing, enhancing, and improving occupational therapy and quality measures, while reducing the burden of reporting.

Participating in PRIME also provides opportunities to take part in valuable research to help improve and shape the future of healthcare. Occupational therapy practitioners will receive performance feedback data on a rolling schedule.
