Medicare is focused on quality in Part A settings, are you?

The latest round of Medicare Part A rulemaking continues to focus on quality measures in quality reporting programs (QRPs) and value-based purchasing programs (VBPs) in inpatient settings. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released its annual fiscal year (FY) 2024 Medicare Part A proposed rules in April. Although the proposed rules also include payment updates and other policy changes, this article highlights key areas of importance in quality programs for occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs).
