Occupational therapy's role in cardiac arrest events

Far too often, we, as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs), may take for granted the ordinary days we experience when working with clients and colleagues, and/or in our personal lives with loved ones, family, and friends. What we view as our conventional workday can change dramatically in mere seconds. A cardiac arrest is one of those events that can severely alter one’s day; it is a life-or-death medical emergency that requires an immediate response and action from bystanders.
