Orlando to host more than 7,000 occupational therapy practitioners at AOTA 2024 INSPIRE Annual Conference
Education sessions will showcase occupational therapy’s prominent role in maternal health, adolescent health, gender-affirming care, disaster preparedness and other consumer health issues
Orlando Florida… An estimated 7,000 occupational therapy practitioners, educators, students, exhibitors, and guests representing all 50 states, Puerto Rico and 23 countries around the world will gather in Orlando March 21-24 to attend the American Occupational Therapy Association’s annual gathering, AOTA INSPIRE | 2024 Annual Conference & Expo. A special highlight will be the 50th anniversary celebration of the National Black Occupational Therapy Caucus (NBOTC), the only of its kind in the world.
Journalists will have access to leaders in the field of occupational therapy (OT) with expertise in a wide range of health concerns that affect all Americans, through providing innovative ways to help people participate in everyday activities (“occupations”) from birth to end of life. Topics where experts will be available at the conference and prior to, include: maternal health, gender-affirming care, aging, gun violence, disaster preparedness, adolescent mental health, and issues of diversity and healthcare.
