New CPT Code for Practice Expenses Due to COVID-19

The American Medical Association (AMA) has announced the creation of a new CPT® code to be used to report additional practice expenses sustained due to a public health emergency (PHE). AOTA, along with other specialty organizations, participated in the AMA process to create the code, including collecting member surveys to determine the type of additional expenses being incurred.
