2025 AOTA Election results

AOTA extends our heartfelt congratulations to this year’s elected volunteer leaders! We are excited to welcome you into your new roles and look forward to the vision, passion, and expertise you bring to our community. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of AOTA and advancing our mission.

To all candidates who stepped forward—thank you. Your willingness to serve demonstrates the strength and dedication of our profession. We encourage you to stay actively engaged, as your ideas and enthusiasm are invaluable to our collective advocacy and growth. If you were not elected, we hope you’ll consider applying for appointed positions, where you can contribute and make an impact.

We also appreciate every member who participated in the election process. To ensure fairness and security, our elections are conducted by an independent third-party vendor, with all ballots encrypted for confidentiality. Neither AOTA nor the vendor has access to individual voting records. 3.58% of AOTA membership participated in the election process this year.

Thank you for your commitment to AOTA and our profession. Your voice makes a difference, and we are grateful for your engagement!

A Note About Minimum Quorum

As a nonprofit incorporated in Washington, DC, AOTA is governed by DC nonprofit law and our organizational Bylaws, which require a minimum quorum of voting members for elections to be valid. Unfortunately, 15 races did not reach the required quorum based on the number of votes cast.

Details regarding the quorum requirements for each race are provided below.
