SPEAKERS
Ganesh M. Babulal
Ganesh M. Babulal, PhD, OTD, MSCI, MOT seeks to understand how the intersectional relationship of biological, sociological, and economic factors contribute to health and acute and chronic diseases in the United States among minoritized groups. He investigates the relationship between cognitive functioning and mental health and its impact on functional outcomes in those with and without chronic neurological diseases. More recently, his research has expanded to include assessing multilevel structural and social determinants that influence health and examining causal mechanisms that may increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases for minoritized populations. This work employs community-based system dynamics, biomarkers, digital neurobehavioral markers, and social determinants of health measurement.
