A core belief of occupational therapy is that “active engagement in occupation promotes, facilitates, supports, and maintains health and participation” (American Occupational Therapy Association, 2020, p. 5). As practitioners, we know that every client is an individual and presents with unique occupational needs. Many times, we must use creative problem solving to address these needs when commercially available adaptive equipment and products are not adequate.
