The recent introduction of a conversation-based artificial intelligence (AI) tool called ChatGPT has taken the digital world by storm. This unique piece of software developed by OpenAI labs (2022) has raised a number of questions in various sectors about its potential to be used or misused, or to replace jobs previously done by humans. This article explores ChatGPT’s potential role in occupational therapy and why occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) don’t need to worry about being replaced by AI, yet.
