Bridge-builders in palliative rehabilitation: A call to action

As a recent postprofessional graduate with a clinical doctorate degree (OTD) and a clinician with 35-plus years of experience, I (Ann, first author) am excited to share what I have learned both personally and professionally about the valuable role of occupational therapy in the palliative care continuum. Care for people with serious illness and their families is evolving, and occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) have a role to play in leading this effort in an innovative and collaborative fashion to benefit this vulnerable population.
