Health care has become a technology- and data-driven industry. Health data is collected through lots of mechanisms and utilized for multiple aspects of care. The accumulation of data has led to new innovations in health care delivery, including clinical decision making, reimbursement, quality improvement, and artificial intelligence (AI). With the proliferation of electronic health records (EHRs) and other digital tools in health care, opportunities to get involved in health technology, data, and informatics is something for occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) to consider and explore (Doll et al., 2021; Panyo et al., 2018). In fact, approaches used in health technology adoption, clinical workflows, and discerning data visualization like human-centered design and user experience align nicely with the values and skills of occupational therapy.
