Menstruation Management

Dignity in managing menstruation is an important aspect of human rights for all people who menstruate (World Health Organization, 2022). According to the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domain and Process (OTPF-4; American Occupational Therapy Association, 2020), menstruation management is an ADL associated with toileting and toilet hygiene, and is central to the scope of occupational therapy practice.
