Developing intentional partnerships for enhancing diversity in occupational therapy education

Winston-Salem State University (WSSU), a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) was founded in 1892. The mission of the School of Health Sciences (SOHS) at WSSU is to educate diverse health professionals who are culturally competent leaders committed to addressing health disparities through teaching, scholarship, and service. This is accompanied by a motto of, “Enter to learn. Depart to serve,” fostering an expectation of community service (WSSU, 2022). The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program reflects the WSSU mission and motto in all its endeavors.
