AOTA Receives Prestigious Educational Excellence Award!
AOTA has been recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA) for its educational excellence as the 2025 recipient of its Current Procedural Terminology (CPT ®) Editorial Panel’s Educational Excellence Award!
This award recognizes AOTA’s unparallelled efforts to educate our members about CPT® codes through engaging multimedia educational resources, including web resources, billing and coding guides, infographics, videos, webinars, and live presentations to students and members, and the monthly Coding Corner in OT Essentials. In addition, we serve our community on this critical topic through a dedicated connection point for individual member questions through our coding inbox and the delivery of compelling presentations and “Ask the Expert” sessions each year at INSPIRE.
The award was accepted by Kim Karr, OTR/L, CPHQ, RAC-CT (Manager, Coding and Payment Policy) and Leslie Davidson, PhD, OT/L, FAOTA (AOTA’s Primary Advisor to the AMA CPT Healthcare Provider Advisory Committee) on behalf of AOTA.
AOTA is proud to receive third-party recognition for the coding resources it offers to members. Receiving validation from this prestigious body is energizing and inspiring. However, our coding work is not done. We will continue developing new and updated coding content to ensure members stay knowledgeable about current rules and emerging opportunities related to coding occupational therapy services.
