Interventions to Support Occupations

According to the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domain and Process, 4th edition (OTPF-4) interventions to support occupations are methods and tasks that prepare the client for occupational performance. These include physical agent modalities (PAMs) and mechanical modalities, orthotics and prosthetics, assistive technology and environmental modifications, wheeled mobility, and self-regulation techniques. They are used as part of a treatment session in preparation for or concurrently with occupations and activities or provided to a client as a home-based engagement to support daily occupational performance.
