Disaster Preparedness, Response & Recovery
Unfortunately, natural and human-created disasters are increasing in frequency. These disasters have a significantly negative impact—both short- and long-term—on the health and occupational engagement of affected individuals, families, and communities.
Occupational therapy practitioners are uniquely poised to support people’s health and participation in life across the spectrum of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
